It's growing on me, looked way too Golf-like at first. Headlights are superb, but I think it definitly needs different rims!

Interior is looking sweet as well, especially since it has Interlagos cloth trim. Shame to see the "1" logo go :D

Tis a nice car indeed and i've already told my dealer to ring me as soon as he gets one in so that I can have a good go in it although there's very slim chance i'll actually buy one. As nice as it is, the Golf GTi just seems to be a cut above.:)

uuumm, thats because the Golf GTI is a cut above the Polo...now...put the 2.0FSI T unit into the Polo, give the Polo the same spec level inside and it will be what the GTI was originally and should always have been

The Polo GTi has never really been a legendary sports car though? :?

The Three things i'm not sure about are.............

The wheels look a little small.
I don't like the black headlight surrounds.
Having been driving mine for nearly three years would hope that xenons are at least an option on the new car.

Other than that five of us in the office today all gave it the thumbs up.

Cheers

Dave.

GTi Engine

Post by Neil Polo GTi »

I thought it was going to have the 1.4 engine with a super-charger and turbo-charger, as per the new Golf GT (slightly detuned in Polo)
