Hi

I thought this problem had gone but was driving this morning and the car jerked when putting foot on gas. i stopped car and the problem went.

Orignally started when i disconnected the battrey and changed the spark plugs.

has been ok though for at least 2 and half weeks but there is slight hestitation in accelration which is slightly noticeable when putting foot on gas. but then sometimes it doesnt happen car seems lighter when driving when ok.

I have changed the following:

spark plugs
distributor cap
rotor arm
spark leads
Temp sensor

What else can I check?

cheers

check for moisture in the distributor cap - just in case. wd40 the inside of it to repel water, then clean and put it back on.

not much else to check - you could have a dodgy tank of fuel or sediment.

run some redex through the fuel tank.

cheers

will run some fuel injector through.

could it be the distributor coil???? this was changed about 3 1/2 years ago!

i changed the distributor cap!

Just to add when i do accelrate it makes like a bump like you have gone over a pothole or something. but quickly accelration on gas misses the bump. Sometimes when trying to accelrate it has no power to shift when stationary have to rev it really high!!!

could it be fuel filter?

cheers

Try buying some carb cleaner bout £3.00 and take ur air filter off then rev and spray into throttle body for a good ten secs while reving

This stopped my car from stalling when i started it

Worked a treat and for £3.00 garage would of raped me for that lol

worth a try Wesley

another problem arrghhh

Hi

I ran carb cleaner through. When starting car the revs were 2500rpm.

i disconnected the battery for an hour. Put back on but idling between 1800-2100rpm

i drove the car today for around 20 miles locally but revs still high!

is it dangerous to have high revs??

not sure what to do now?

hellp!

also the juddering of the car still happens. I noticed this happens if u keep ure foot on the accerlation for a bit of time and then try to accelrate it starts to bump!!! not sure if the butterfly is a bit funny?

this is driving me mad!

cheers

Hi

I got the machine on a daignostic machine and they recalibrated the throttle body and it is now ok.

i have one other problem when driving and the car is in gear, i take my foot of accelration and at 1800rpm it jerks until it either drops or goes above that

only happens at 1800rpm

what could this be?
