Ain't driven in it yet
Remember - smoooooooooooth is the key to driving on snow or ice
my method is treat as a personal competition - every one of the following is 1 point deducted for each occurance
- Wheelspin
- Locked wheel(s)
- Slide
Start the day with 50 points and try to beat your previous days total - everyday the snow continues - it will make you a better driver and people in the car will comment on how in control you are
I'm not trying to preach or lecture here but trust me on this one -
you do not want to loose control on snow or ice it will cost you lots of money in repair bills - the damage to suspension and wheels when you sideswipe into a kerb wil be incredible as it's designed to take bumps in a normal plane not a sideslide
Oh and as a treat go find a big empty car park on an idustrial estate with no kerbs that will be hidden by snow and have a let of steam 15mins where if you do slide it isn't gonna hurt!!!
I will try that dude, thanks for the advice! Not looking forward to it at all

i'm scared to take the g40 out when it snows, don't want to damage her! i wanna get my mk2 squareback back on the road so i can have some fun and don't have to worry about it as much!
have a bit of fun with the handbreak is fine as long as you are somewhere where you aren't gonna cause any damage to ur car on anyone elses car or property!
as for:
took my old car to works car park when it last snowed and had some great fun!!
i remember that night very well!

that was from excessive handbrake turns!! and then the next day a foot long clump of ice fell out from my wheel arch. i wondered wot that rubbing noise was!!
after a little while i had the little polo doing u-bend rally car style turns without stopping!! great fun!!
