The reason you can't do it (properly) by yourself, is because nearly everyone of us fails the needed measuring kit. They measure the position of the wheel using a computer and some camera's or lasers. The actual adjusting is quite low-tech, as they simply loosen the bottom shock absorber bolts so they can move the position of the hub a bit. When it's in the correct position, they tighten the bolts again - job done.

got it tracked today, and alloys fitted :)

seems fine now!

managed to get some 13" vw 5 spoke alloys from ebay - 122 pounds inc postage. bargain. brand new.

... got em out of the box and one of the f**kers is dented! Gutted, so I rang the guy up and he's sent me another one in the post. Happy as Larry. My bird gave me 3x175 tyres (another polo lover) so I've got alloys fully fitted, tyred up and tracked for about 180 golden nuggets (inc 1 new tyre).

will take some piccies once i have found a badgeless grill I like.
