thanks for the advice - it'll be doing a lot of motorway miles so perhaps the solution is a low car with 16's..... I will have to look out for a 17's example car.

I see a lot of passats have the audi replica wheels and so on (18 inches I think). I'm not a fan at all - a nice simple 5 spoke is best IMO!

Dave what about some nice RS6 rims?! these are nice

I saw one the other day and liked it - but I think the 18's are still odd looking, perhaps because the profile is so darn low!
