I believe its the same one the corrado uses, but has a small hole drilled in it for a little pin to poke through. Stops something but cant remember what!

Sorry Reeyad, we should have told you earlier
The kit is 45106, for the Golf mk3 VR6, but it also fits the Polo GTi. The modification done to the kit is that a small hole is drilled in the shaft of the B&M through which a split pin is put, which prevents the shifter from "popping off" (Josh's words) mid-shift!

Do you save every topic on your computer Si.
Or do you have the memory of an Elephant.

I just remember random stuff to be honest. But I had only looked at the old GB thread re B&M short-shifters a couple of days ago, when I put this thread up for discussion because I was wrestling with the do I/don't I sell question!
But no, I don't save the topics, I use the Search function

Hi Si
Have you fitted this short shifter yet?
I did get a call from a gent off this forum in regards the short shifter.
The main problem is that as there was only one we could not do a GB of them.
But then the B & M is a lovely piece of kit.

Hi Sarah, no I haven't fitted the kit yet, it will have to wait until probably June or July now I think. I will definitely have it fitted over with you guys at JBS though, I'd rather not have a go myself - its not that I don't want to get my hands dirty its just that I don't think that I have the technical nounce to do it, regardless of how easy it is!
