it might sound like a really dumb question but what would happen if your central locking failed to open doors? How would you use the key? :?

Plastic welded and then a tiny layer of fibre glass on the outside to get it perfectly level, didnt want any bodge going on, even a thin layer of bodge can change shape, i insisted they did it properly.

surely there must be a skim of filler on there to get it smooth, fibreglass isnt very workable/shapeable!

Looks awesome Phill 8)

You gonna be at VWNW at Tatton Park? Think it'll be around August time IIRC.

Yeh obviously there is a skim, but they didnt use it to fill anything whatsoever. They got it pretty perfect before they touched it with bodge so that it came out really good.

gotcha - very impressive work. Wonder if the garage underquoted you, without realising the length of time it would take. be interesting to see if they quoted a similar price to another member :)

Well they had the car for 9 days, and my mates friends with them and went down to check on it everyday, they where working on it for all 9 days, so i recon i got a good deal. It was "mates rates" tho, i got the handles, bootlock and sills for free really.
