Sounds like a good spec. Mk1 Golf arches sound very interesting as well

Well the engine goes straight in, so does the charger, no need for cutting the slam panel. The main issue is the intercooler, being which one to use. Mk2 G40 ones are rocking horse s**t to get hold of one. We used a mk3 one and cut away the cross member (but braced and welded up elsewhere) and cut a big hole in the front valance which when the bumper is on you can't really see it but does get alot of air. We still used the coupe S fuel tank but really you want to change to a mk3 item as its bigger, and your not filling up every day or so. With using the mk2 tank though, as it a bottom feed, the G40 pump was put next to the spare wheel well in line with a mk3 filter aswell. G40 ECU just slots into the original ECU holder that there on the mk2 Coupe S (well it was on ours). Rev counter needs one wire to be connected to use 12v supply rather than the mk2 5v (i think) so that will work with the Mk3 wiring loom. But thats mk2 clocks, we used the mk3 G40 clocks. Oh and the mk2 windscreen bottle was moved into the bulkhead space as the mk2 coolant bottle sits in its place.pbreno wrote:is it hard 2 fit the g40 engine into the coupe s and what else do you need?
