£240 wheels, £200 suspension, £300 bodywork. Got £6,000.

Considering i sold the gti wheels and suspension for £600 that payed for most of the mods anyways :)

Yeh but i hated the ride so changed to shocks and springs.

It depends on your mods.

Your main mods were leather seats, smoothed bumpers and coilovers.

The look of your car was still pretty OEM. To the layperson the only thing that would look out of place is it being lowered, if i recall correctly the seats were immaculate, and set you back 600.

I have modded my polo, but I have just added options that could have come with the car which will increase re-sale, the run of the mill mods are things that give the car indiviuality. Its similar to people decorating their houses, some people have strange tastes that others wont like.

The point im making is that his mods are not run of the mill mods. By and large, mods put off more potential buyers than a standard car simply because of the stereotype of modded cars and the fact peoples tastes differ.

The GTi will sell regardless though because of its rarity.
