Don't think so, its 35 or 38, pretty certain its not 45.

I have 195, 45, r15's and they are 38, and the car drives as nice as it did with the original alloys; I'm sensitive to it wandering and being harsh - because I did all that when I was young an stoopid, I like the car to be more sedate now I'm older and stoopid.

Do the wheels have the offset on them anywhere?

I was just going by this code in the service book

C8X = alloy wheels 6J x 15 BBS multi-piece, offset 45

should be stamped on the back of the hub or back of a spoke.

The manual states ET35

Having refurbished a set of GTi BBS alloys, it definitely states on the back of the spoke ET 45.

I tried to look but could only see the spoke with BBS on, still it's probably easier when the car is either jacked up or you have the wheel off, not squeezing your head under the car :lol:

i went ahead and bought the wheels from the guy, for 40pounds i cant complain, there all in quite good condition, apart from one which has a bit of the paint kinda blistered and i wont need to replace any of the tyres right now, still got a fair bit left on them
