Sorry I do need to try and get a pic of mine up
I managed to fill in the small scratch with some primer and have smoothed it out with a very fine abrasive
Does now look all smooth I just need to paint it
I got one of those chip and scratch repair pen sets from halfords but am a bit concerned on the paint
I know you can get the correct paint from a VW dealer. Im worried the colour is going to mismatch badly when its on. It is just a case of painting it and then putting some clear laquer over it
My car is reflex silver. The colour I got looks fairly close to it
Anyone else used these halfords kits? Its not really a huge skuff so Im not fussed too much now about getting someone to look at it

u'll never get a silver right it'll look darker using touch up
use the lightest silver touch up you can find
you need to spray it to do it right so you can blend it into the original paint

Would this be the case though like I said if I used the genuine vw paint set?
LA7W I think is reflex silver

yes i own a chipsaway franchise
i make the paint up to the year of the car and you'll never do it without spraying
you won't lose anything trying i suppose as we can remove touchup paint no problem with one of our removers
try it if you don't like it you know what to do

Just thought I would give you guys an update.
Took the car to a local bodyshop on Tuesday to get the scratch sorted. Got it back Thursday and they did a really great job, you wouldn't know it had been done. Only cost £150 too
Washed, polished and waxed the car today, will get some pics tomorrow!
