Personally i would, Just to make sure it's Done Proper Mate, But its Each to there own, The way i would paint anything on a car is prep the Surface, Primer, Paint Then Laquer

u can buy hammerite straight to rust metal paint.......... would u still need to prime it and stuff with this paint?
