nah i don't red line my car often, it was just something i noticed once and i thought it was odd! but its all good, its not a major thing...thanks for all the replies!

(PoloBoI), was that question directed at me? just a bit confused as its nothing to do with the question i asked (hopefully im not coming off rude here!!)
the problem is before i change gears, when i get to 5k, the limiter kicks in and just throws me forward, nothing to do with changing gears! but if u want to really know, i let go of the clutch slowly and i change gears UP when i want to go FASTER :P

hmm ok very strange well ive done that be4 and smacked ma head on the steering wheel with wat i sed clutch out to quik and changing down instead of up lol i broke ma glasses i hit it that hard

I've only hit the limiter a couple of times in my 1.0E, and the car did jerk forward, as the limiter hit. This was in first gear, however. I would like to echo the sensible comments in this thread, that there's no point in revving all the way to the redline, and it's better to change up before the power cuts.

I've hit the limiter a few times and experienced the same thing, though only ever ever so slightly
