I take it the dealers didnt mind that your car had been modified and been remapped??? I always thought that changing parts like your ECU would void your warrenty? :?: :?:

Didnt realise that. . . . cant you get an option that allows you to change from stage 1 to the standard ecu???

Do you think your car can handle the extra 50 bhp ie: clutch, turbo, brakes, bigger cooler needed???

extra 66 bhp haha
its got the turbo back milltek and induction too

and yeah if im honest i think its a poor part as its happened before on a standard gti so i aint worried about that, my previous gti turbo never had a single issue and that was the same setup

and yes you can get the control module to convert from mapped to standard

Yeah ave heard nothin but good from them off other ppl! Worth the 4 1/2 hr drive! How much did they take for your remap??? When a went to get the trial put on ( not at awesome) i got quoted somethin totally different! Plus a want the extra feature to turn the map on or have it on factory map.

just the map is like 375, then extra features are about 40 quid each i think

best to call them first to get more accurate prices and have a chat about it

luckilly its only 20 mins from me so in the past its been known for me to be there a lot

takes about 20 mins to put the map on too

well my car is back with me and all i can say is wow, what an improvement,

gotta drive it sensible for 1k miles to let it bed in and adjust but its so much better,

vw have done everything too, not just the bare minimum and have looked in to other things i asked of them too

they have changed the box, replaced all connecting components, adjusted my brakes, adjusted my clutch, re done the tracking, now the dsteering feels heavier again and more stable, looked in to my passenger door which used to make a clunk, so far so good with that, im really impressed, the work done is clearly to the highest level and im made up

i got the invoice for the work and a sheet to say its been done on warrenty, the total job inc vat and labour came to £2131.11 ... OUCH

so im made up again now haha
