You mean only one real Golf GTi?

MK1 Golfs even in standard trim were great!
On a side note, my Manager used to have a mint MK1 1.6 GTi in orange, he sold it for £200 and a week later I saw it in Colchester totally wrecked on the side of the road. If I'd even known he was selling it I would have bought it straight away!

Not impressed. A dull looking car compared to the competition. You'd have thought that they'd learnt that dull is not good after the mk3. At least the gti is sub 9 seconds unlike the pathetic 2.0 litre and 1.8 NA car they released with the mk4.
How much?! A type R is 16k on the road. That's a no-brainer.

I'm going to go for the A3 TDI Sport rather than the Golf V tdi. Going to get myself a 1 year old A3 which should be around 16K? I think I will lose 19% for my polo in it's first year - HOPE!

What are the full specs on the FSI and TDI engines again, the javascript info tool on the VW site seems to be bust. All I can get is the (somewhat disappointing in itself) 1.4 bogstandard specs.
