After hearing what the problem is you might want to take it to VW first and see what the problem is, then if it is the pedal box go from there also the dealer will argue your case as well with VW, turns out my problems are:
Clutch Assembly £670
Starter Motor Bush £30.70
Oil leak in Selector Shaft £95.47
Clutch Cable £76.657
Plus one hour diagonistics £76 (I think)
which brings it to a total of £873.12
plus VAT £152.79
Which brings it to a grand total of £1025.91(ouch)
I think i got sold a duff car seeing as I haven't had the car long, i diffently don't have the money to pay that so i was wondering if someone here has done any of the jobs above and maybe they could really help me and provide step by step instructions pleaseeee

Is Mr Clutch any good? as they quoted me half the price and the guy there seemed really helpful, he used to work for VW and told me to make sure it isn't the pedal box as VW have a lot of problems with these not just with these polo's but the old ones as well some Golfs and even Audi's
Thanks
