Car wise, I'm getting it repaired (when my insurance company finally decide to pay up) and a few minor niggles need sorting out. Nothing major though, as I'm broke.

Life wise, finish my second year of Uni, start my third. Go on holiday with Caroline during the summer, and bring her along to a few more VW shows too.

*crashes thru door of shed* THIS YEAR *breath* I SHALL MOSTLY BE DOING*.. ;)

1. Taking the roofrack back off
2. Changing the oil and filter (tomorrow if possible)
3. Maybe changing the plugs if that doesn't smooth the starting and first-2-miles running at all.
4. Washing the beast!
5. Getting a 9-5 M-F job so i can jack in the part timers for some free evenings and weekends. Boring, but it helps to fit in with the rest of the worlds schedule.
6. Waiting for spring so I can spend some serious time outside working on the car without dying of cold or accidents caused by bad light and numb fingers.
7. Investing in some decent tools.. a torque wrench would be nice.
8. Making contacts and gathering info. Like where I can go to get a full pro respray or a play on a rolling road, how much it costs, and who to get pally with :)
9. Buying some "new" bits... a gearbox... interior without awful oil contamination or rickety seats... shocks/springs... etc
10. If/when the interior happens, totally redoing the stereo wiring and front speaker install. Adding a small, discreet powered sub if possible.
11. Figuring out the wiring on the Panasonic CD changer my uncle gave me. It's gotta be compatible with a Sony head unit *somehow*
12. Wasting a weekend on cleaning out the engine bay. That dry powder fire extinguisher residue is not at all pretty.
13. Doing some silly little mods. Not too hot on alloys right now (insurance) but could spray the wheels, the dash... put light strips in the bumper and rubbing strip (full-length indicator and running light! sound reactive too?)
14. Crapping myself at the potential cost of it all
15. Considering very thoughtfully just selling it for whatever I can get and getting a K-reg 5-speed 1.3 instead... or that Ford advert where you can have a Focus at £199 a month is fairly appealing...
16. Probably forgetting to have enough in the bank come august to tax, MOT and insure the bugger.
17. Very quickly breaking new years resolution to never thrash the engine or overload the suspension again.
18. Finding out where to get one of those SPi compatible K&N's fitted (washable filter probably a very good idea round here, considering state of the plain halfords one I just replaced - looked like a month old hoover bag after only 5000 miles) and maybe a decent sports, decat exhaust...
19. Making those flippin' fog lamps independent of the dipped headlights.

20. Outside of the car and job... trying to relax, sort my pc out, get some semblance of a life back now that debt isnt an immediate worry. Watch a few films, get a new *home* stereo, see "old" uni pals, get down the club (night or diving) sometime soon. Etc!

I thought of a whole bunch of things to do this year, but it boils down to this:

1. Spend all my money on the car.
2. Take it to each and every possible meeting.
3. Wash and pamper the thing 24/7.
4. Finish study. Get a job.

In that order.
