yeah that's right - no smoking at all, in fact I've noticed less but I reckon that's just in my head!
no emissions light either
bear in mind my car's only done 18k, and it's not a really aggressive remap either.
That`s eased my worries slightly

just hope the clutch lasts the pace though

lol

personally I can't see an extra 30bhp doing anything to the longevity of most of the components. it's only 130-140bhp once it's done, so not as if you're right at the limits of stress and strain.

It`s an extra 50 + hp though takes it up to between 180-185 bhp the lad said

cheers

sorry mate didn't realise you had a GT.
personally if you're worried I'd get a less aggressive remap and aim for 175, it's shed loads of power and you'll love it, but it'll also be easier on the car.
up to you of course.

sorry folks been away till today on hols. cheers for the replies. Yea i dont think im gonna bother with a remap (but they are dropping in price alot at the mo), wish i had bought the tdi and would have sold this one and had one, but fitted the votex kit now so will keep it a while and then decide what to do. Although 80bhp is much better than 64 so if i can get one for the right price i might indulge.
ps got my leon cupra to remap so hopefully a bit of dicount for doing 2. Fingers crossed.
Il get some pics up on here as soon as the bloody wheel nuts come for the 17's (today should be)
What the hell is this smoking like hell after remaps though. Be nice to know how many people have encountered this issue?
