Haha, no, most BHP I've ever driven was a 230BHP Audi 3.0 V6 Quattro engined A6, did 270 on German Autobahn

(Germans don't have max. speeds

), never drove that bi-turbocharged Polo, tag along alot in it, but never driven it. Belongs to a mate of mine, if he'd ever offer me to drive it, I'd refuse, that amount of power in a frontwheeldrive car weighing less then 1000 Kilo's is the same as Russian Roulette's

Buthe did let me play with the air-ride he also has

-->sweet

)

Any suggestions for good shows (VW/VAG/Polo) to visit in the UK (preferrably the south-east, since it's already a long drive to get there) that are worth the effort? (weekend meetings are even better, I'll pitch my tent in your island's soil

)
Saw some good pics from Edition 38 and Polo Show, or are there better meetings in UK?

Edition 38 and the Polo show were the 2 best I think this year.
GTi International isn't bad but the above 2 were a lot more fun in my eyes
I know what you mean about the Germans as well, I went to the Nurburgring last month for a Ring Taxi ride and they drive like maniacs out there

even where there are speed limits they ignore them.
Had a nice Audi S8, Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Mercedes CLK (DTM Edition I think) come past me on the autobahn

But I'll keep Edt 38 and Polo Show '08 in mind, any dates yet?

Edition 38 is a must Jarno, me, my g/f and my bro were cruising back home with a Dutch Sirocco and silver mk4 Golf from DutchDub.nl.
I must say that the dutch polos on the prvious page have got the german equivilents licked
Here at UK-Polos, we do have a southeast meet, usually at the end of January which you are more than welcome to attend Jarno and friends! Would be good to get some continental flavour at our local meet!

Haha, ok, let's make a swap, some of the Dutch Polo's come to your meets, if some of the UK Polo's come to the annual Polo Club Holland meeting next summer of '08

(would be fun though)
But definately wanna come over next summer for (maybe some) meetings with some mates from here. Don't think I'll make the january meet, probably won't have the mk4 "meeting-prove" then, I'm always driving stealies too during wintertime

ah but i think a few of us will have the winter wheels on in january anyways mate, all we do is turn up at a nice pub with a decent car park and have a chat etc and then we go into the pub for a meal and a drink!
then after that we take all the cars to a more decent location for a group photo etc. its a good laugh!

ah ok, so it isn't a weekend meeting eh? Weekend meetings have my preferation, since it's quit the drive over, so staying a whole weekend would be nicer (and no, I aint gonna pitch a tent in january

)
By the way, here's some film-footage I made of that bi-turbo me m8 is driving:
https://www.youtube*.com/watch?v=LFQPd8TSFYE
And a movie of the dyno-testing of it (bad sound quality though

) -->

Also remembered another Dutch mk4 which is totally worthy of noticing, check the movie --> [/img]
https://www.youtube*.com/watch?v=n6wbYO0U ... ed&search=
It runs a Suzuki GSX-R1000 engine, placed in the trunk and drives the rearwheels, yes, it is a rearwheeldrive Polo which a s**t of toque --> pure drifting
Look @ that f*cker go sideways

-->

You just got to love that

Yes, it's yours if you pay the owner 25K euro

(car isn't road-legal, but completely prepared for drifting (kill-switch, rollcage, special fueltank etc. )

i would absolutely love to take that car off his hands but i haven't exactly got 25k on me at this precise moment
Jarno, you could always stay over in a Travel Inn hotel for one night, theres one just down the road from where we hold the meet!
see i'm making this easy for you

How much exactly does all this travelling cost you? Must be loads if you're ferrying your car all over Europe. But sounds like a great time!

Don't know, and don't want to know
Driving to meetings here in Holland isn't worth thinking about it, small distances since I live in the middle of the country, Denmark isn't that far a drive either, Austria is a bit longer, and yes, UK does include either ferry or train from France, but I'll see that next summer
