Just a little point, the satnav will have to have a clear view to the sky to get a GPS fix, unless you have an external antenna.
i dont quite agree with that as we stuck the sat nav in glove box but left it switched on and it was telling me where to go still :P

i agree with Iggy although I don't fully understand. Satnavs can be obscured to the sky by the roof of the car can't they but they still work?

And Iggy, I think what you mean about alloys is have a bit of dish to them. Why not have a lot :D

Theyll still work as long as they can see enough of the sky to get a satelite fix. This could mean that the satelites are infront of you (due to the curvature of the earth) and the GPS can still see them through the windscreen. Unfortunatley the radio signal cant pass through objects like plastic and metal, but some glass is OK although on modern cars it wont even go through that!

On the subject of wheels, NOZ, what alloys have you got? I realy like them, and im still on steelies  (although I have resprayed them  )

Ah ok, I thought the satellite issue would be something like that seeing theres so many satellites up there, so they should be able to get a feed due to the earths curve. Thanks for clearing that up.

The rims you see in my signature are Ripspeed Comptons. Rare as can be seeing i'v had them 3years and have only seen another set on a Polo. They're sweet and so many people have asked me about them. Problem was the badge for pure dubbers so I thought i'd have a change.

However, I'v put my new rims on the car but haven't put any pics up yet. Running 7j 15" Zenders with a dish style rim, very classy and expensive (for me)!

Within the first 2days of having them on it rained and cos theres a lip the water sits at the bottom. I'v now got hidious water marks ruining them :( scrubbing them with a cloth doesn't even work. I'll need advice on whether there's a cleaning product that would remove the marks. Don't want to be sitting there for ages polishing them either cos I don't have winter rims and its raining season now!
