In adverse weather conditions that has reduced or poor visibilty, you are permitted to use fogs! But once the vision is back to normal, you should remember to turn the fogs off otherwise if any copper spots you, you'll be punished!
I happened to be driving to Basildon from Hertforshire today.
Luckily I drove inner towards London and took the A406, otherwise I would have been gridlocked on the M25 for many hours with many others!!
A406 was still bad but it was bearable
How did you other people get along??

Took me four and a half hours to get home on Wednesday night (normally 40 minutes) One of the main A roads heading Northbound out of Reading, Berkshire, had turned into an ice-rink and after queuing for two and a half hours I decided to go back to the city and take a motorway home (which adds 10 miles to my normal 20 mile trip), but even then I got delayed again at an A road at the other end.Wai_Mak wrote:How did you other people get along??
Left Reading at 17:45 and arrived home in Didcot at 22:15.
...and the council said it was ready for the cold weather!!
I drive to the French alps every year and they cope with 6" of snow EVERY night some weeks - how come we can't deal with 1", 1 day of the year! Crazy.
Fortunately I had the day off yesterday so didn't have the same thing is reverse. Everything was largely back to normal this morning.
