im 20 but i can remember having fifa '94 on sega mega drive and that was awesome even with fake players!
An old mate of mine at school used to have Fifa 94 (may have been 95 though) on the Mega Drive and I used to play it round his - they were so easy back then with just 3 buttons

Yeah I use Villa - I'm a Villa fan so why not. I prefer to use them as it makes it a bit more of a challenge than using ManU and Chelsea all the while. Plus I know all the players so I know who's quick, who's got a good shot, etc.

One thing that really annoys me about playing it online, is people will always change their team to ManU, Liverpool, Chelsea, or Barcelona, which means I have to choose one of those or I haven't got a chance of beating them with Villa, as all their shots go on target and they are all much quicker. - although you do get the odd team fan, who will pick their team and it makes it a much more enjoyable match for me, playing Villa vs Everton for instance

I did get the last Pro Evo last year, but didn't think much of it at all. The major downfall for me was the lack of real teams. I like to work through the game with Villa, and teams and players I know. Just couldn't get on with playing with West Bromwich United, or whatever it was. There was only so many times I could play International games too.

Also heard that Pro Evo 2008 was a bit cack. Mate of mine had it, said it was really slow, and went straight back to Fifa  I read reviews that its full of bugs that make freeze up and stutter when playing it, and online play was just painfull
There are patches for the game on all consoles though so all Prem teams (and others) are correct and up to date :) . It's true about the PS3 version though, there are a few issues with it from what I've read.

The thing I don't like with FIFA is has a lack of realism, well the ones I owned on the PS2 did anyway. Once you know where to score you can do it again and again and again. The last one I got was FIFA 2005, then I saw the light and was converted to PES

Are any of you online via a wired connection on your PS3? I've been trying to get mine online today and I always get an error message, like this:

Obtain IP Address - Succeeded
Internet Connection - Failed

An error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error (80710102)

Any ideas?

Got my PS3 about 3 weeks ago and bought Call of duty 4 on it. Got stuck and haven't played it since because I have no other games. I'm due to christmas but i've been given some money from relatives so I might buy a game in the sales.

What modem/router are you using please mate?

Also, do you know if you have to do anything to your PC to accept ethernet? I tried connecting the modem/router I got for my PS3 into my PC and it wouldn't recognize that an ethernet connection had been made, kept telling me USB was the only option.

And did you ever get this error when testing the connection:

Obtain IP Address - Succeeded
Internet Connection - Failed

An error occurred during communication with the server. This is a DNS error (80710102)

Cos that is what I am getting :x

Who is your internet provider, and also what router/modem do you use for connecting to the internet normally via your PC?
