Nothing, other than it denotes that figure is the wheel width.

Not sure - but 6j is 6 inches wide, 7j is seven inch wide!

Would you have to fit the exact same size of wheel and tyre (15 x 6J ET45) to an unmodified GTi 6N2 or can you get away with something slightly bigger. What is the maximum you can fit without modifying the car? I am in need of a set of alloys as my factory fitted BBS's are wrecked and I don't know much about alloys and wheel sizes and s**t etc. I guess I should have looked after them

You will be able to get them refurbed @ around 40 quid a wheel.
Im not sure what you mean about will you be able to change to bigger - do you mean alloy size ? You will be able to put on 16" wheels (4*100 57.1 Cbore - so they fit the polo) .... 17" will also fit - but honestly dont do that.
If you mean tyre size then yes you can fit 195/50/15 etc to a 15" wheel!!

i think he meant size which u mentioned, 15" and 16" will be ok and will look good, maybe 17" might be too big, but it depends on your taste and style!
also where are good places to get wheels refurbished at cheap prices??

Remember im in Glasgow mate

so you wont want your wheels refurbed up here - ask on a local cruise forum - thats normally what i do. I know i paid 60 quid to get the 4 centres on my BBS done black and its about 40 quid for a 17" wheel to be refurbed up here !!
Ps.. my last polo with 17".... i prefer the 15"s i have on the polo - that much i have three sets of 15" wheels for it

Hi, yeah I meant the size of the alloy/best tyres to fit. I am pretty sure my alloys are beyond repair thats why I am thinking about just getting a new set. I think I may have a look around locally to see who refurbs alloys and if they can be done. Anyone based in Cardiff or nearby that knows of anyone?
