Cabling all ran through it, and infront of it so there was no physical way
Looking at a few nights work - I should have it all back together before sunday hopefully.

This sounds like a complete headache and pain in the arse, which isn't necessary if vw fixed it in the first place

feel for you mate, hope it's easy to put back together

After much stress, the pedal box is now fixed, and after 5 hours straight of me under the steering wheel, all my wiring is now restored (plus another like 150 crimp connectors to make it all work again!!)
So now I have a car with a new feeling clutch and a sound, alarm and central locking system that works
