There is definetly a mistake there, no way does 40mm look like that. Search pics of 6ns on 40mm here and you'll see a huge different. I say this cos lowering a polo on 40mm when you got 15's looks the same height as other standard cars.

So don't go searching for 30's yet, if anything try measuring the difference in height against another 6n with 15's on at standard height or something.

I have ordered coilies now anyway so I not bothered really. Reading comments I forgot to mention the car is a diesel so that may account for extra lowness  Ahh well fully adjustable coilies here we come.

BTW Im picking my new bumpers up tommorow. :D

Good man! 8)

Don't think the diesel factor would affect anything though.

I thought the added weight of the diesel lump may have caused this.

Car looks sweet, red ones are the best :D

Looks mint lowered, those wheels are pretty big even though for 15's.

Cheers guys. I do agree with other comments though. When I get my smoothed bumpers the number plate surrounds will be going and german plates will be going on. Sorry but lights and bump strips are staying for the moment. I not overly fussed on the complete red look.

On another note does anyone know the legality of having your front number plate on your passenger side sun visor?

Yes, its illegal.

The front number plate must be fully visible, positioned on the front most point of your car.

I think you're spot on with the diesel comment - is it a 1.9? If so it looks like you've been given a 1.0L petrol spring kit or a 1.4 engine spring kit.

the diesel will be a fair bit heavier especially with the battery and ancillaries up front. almost like a small person sitting on your bonnet! got to be another 40kg on top of the petrol which could account for the extra drop. I'd say you could get 20mm more because of the diesel.

still, it does look looooow. my 60mm kit looked that low on the 16v I had.

Dvid Burton, what colour is your polo?

i got told mine is fjord blue, and whenever i need paint for it i have to get it specially made at halfords, whereas my old car was canyon red and i could just pick it up off the shelves, i need to repaint my door handles so need more paint.
