i agree, USA pay ****** ridiculous prices for petrol & there is no reason why we shouldnt as well, plus there is no way of telling when oil will run out, i remember people saying it would run out by the year 2000

theres probelms with all the clean fules though. suagr beat seams to be good, but arguably is it morrally correct to use land growing car fuel when people are starving in the world? Also in place trees are beaing cut down to grow the stuff, which is totally obsurd. Hydrogen is zero emmisions, but then the process of making hydrgoen uses a lot of engery. Hybrid cars use more petrol when using fuel mode carring the weright of the huge battery big enoguh to power the car when its in electric mode. The rate technology is developing, no doubt in a hundred years they'll have cracked it. Also on a slightly different note, public transport is so damn useless it makes me question using it.

I think they can justify the renewable source if it's like food - if we all cycled to work we'd still need the food to power us. If we can get cars more efiicient and with their own "food" then we should be able to solve the problem.

however the demand for bigger, safer, stronger, faster cars is a tough one to meet. if we all had tiny little cars we'd be able to get 200 mpg and instantly the demand for oil would be slashed.
