Could have a siezed caliper, where it is not applying enough pressure on the pads.
i'm doing the conversion at the moment. after finding a 5 week wait for the mintex polo gti pads i thought i wanted i've been looking at the pad drawings for the gti, g60 and 'rado vr6.
measurements in mm and are lengthxheightxthickness.
the polo pads are 118x56x16
the g60 pads are 119x69x19
and the vr6 are 119x69x16.
this is all according to my EBC book at work.
i've ordered the vr6 pads and they should be here today. the size differences would explain the unused disc surface you have. when i get the pads i'll see how i get on fitting them and post details as soon as.
