Just got thinking there lads... since the demand is there now, I *might* be interested in breaking my own Polo early. I'm selling it in september at the latest anyway.

I have my own set of perfect xenons, not crashed, right and left xenon bulbs are colour matched since they've both run for the exact same length of time, and come with expensive 4150k PIAA sidelight bulbs (not LEDs that blow all the time). It's just a feeler for the minute, I'm really in two minds as they're the best thing on my car

About the single light - i'll see can i get your man's mobile number for you. I think he knows what they're worth though :)

UPDATE:

So I now have my GTI handbrake, and have sourced my GTI rear disc brakes and front GTI brakes. Everything is beginning to fall into place, and completion is estimated for the 20th of August...just in time for my Birthday and ED38 - the debut!!

Ill get some photos up tomorrow, along with some snaps of the new pioneer headunit i got last week.

I'm not sure if alex has drums or discs at the mo, but if he has drums I should imagine the handbrake for a car with discs works differently.

Nah its the same for drums and disks - difference between them is that the GTi one has a leather grip, where the standard is just a vinyl coating.

UPDATE:

I have sorted myself out with G60 front carriers and pads, so braking performance is dramatically better!

This week im on the hunt for a tailgate lock assembly, so i can at long last get my boot to have central locking with the rest of the car...god damn E models!!

Contemplating the thought of a lupo 6 speed box and a small turbo aswell...need to do some research into how realistic it is to do. A supercharger may be a better option, but both are a costly add on, even tho it would make my car totally unique.

Also got a new richbrook tax disc holder which I am chuffed to bits with!!

Im really eager to get the lump in or at least start some mechanical work....its just soo exciting to finally create a car that does 0-60 so much faster than 16 seconds!!

I'm also wanting to get around this nasty gearbox and tune the 1.6. We need to do a feasability study!

I'm sure Tigz said that the 6-speed Lupo box ain't really any stronger. May have to get a custom box built - hate to imagine the cost

that would be insane lol i think its just a case of getting it built with decent bearings that dont explode, and haveing a good fully synthetic gearbox oil for them to roll around in

surely there's an ex rally tech in the vag world that could fabricate one!

I'd love to be push 140 out of mine without the paranoia of the 'box
