Jeff GTi wrote:and for the record, i have been in touch with pristine wheels and they are going ahead doing my gti alloys, need to make an appointment and take them down, as its a special finish, the process will take overnight, so 48 hours

still a quick turn around i thought
did you get any other recommendations about Pristine? word is they're one of the best around.

what's the weight of a GTI alloy? just that if you are looking for light weight I'm not sure they're the best around - however if you already have a set then I can see the logic! (and they look good).

great to see there's still the age-old "why bother" comments floating around. life's boring without change!

david, i have not weighed a gti wheel, so i honestly cant say, but in lifting the 2 there is a very immediate noticable difference in mass

and yeah, all but a few have said pristine too, i had already seen their work, but you cant beat gaining a fairer picture

tomorrow ill be setting off on a 300 mile rount trip to take them to pristine in milton keynes and chat to the guys about what i want, ill then leave them there, and go for them on my next day off, which will be wednesday

so lots of driving tomorrow haha
