coilovers can go on either side, regarding camber there is a limit at which they can be adjusted so mine is a 1 degree the best i could. have a look in the gti section about 10 topics down that is mine lowered.

guessing its a red gti then?

when u say yours is 1 degree do u mean u got a negative camber of 1 degree?

if so mine isnt that far of that but i wanna lower mine more but still wanna make it so the wheels sit flat not angled.

yes it is the red one, its 1 degree negative camber it was the closest to zero it would go, before it was done it was over 3 degrees out.

1 degree out is nice, looks better and technically better handling 8)

hows it better handling then? wouldnt it mean it would pull to the side more tho?

No, because it's going to be -1 degree each side isn't it, so it shouldn't pull to one side if it is setup equally.

Negative camber gives a greater tyre contact patch during cornering, that's why a slight amount tends to be good.

so no more then 1 degree is fine then?

do u know much the car lowers once the coilovers have settled?

i put them on last tuesday and adjusted them on thursday and since then it seems to be lower so im guessing its settled but am gonna leave it for a bit then maybe even lower them more.

i would've thought a week would be a good length of time to let the springs settle.

well it looks like they settled and since stlling they seem to of lowered themselves between 15-20mm. prob lower it more tho over the nxt week or so...... not scrapping enough bumps.......... well any actually :D
