The seat sport intercooler is much better unit, it was always regarded a better unit thn the forge Ibiza upgrade coole,r and its definately better than that rip off attempt

The only prob with the seat cooler on a Polo is the need to cut the front panel and trim the bumpe,r no bid deal as you cant see it, but something to consider.
But if you want the best cooling, you gotta do it!

Usually the forge one's come with a new crash bar. Looking at those pics its not full height, I wonder if its twin cooling like their MK5 Golf one or even double/quad core'd?
I've been speaking to them a while now and was promised to be taken in for development time ago. Recently been hinted July for an install.

Hey Jeff is that including VAT.
And yes the seat intercooler would be a great upgrade but as it covers the whole radiator not sure it would be to good for my car here in Australia.

forge already have a donor car that they are working on at the minute, so unless thats yours, it wont be yourself getting the development run
and yeah, i believe thats with vat too

if you speak to them nice you can pick and pay cash and not have to pay the vat man

whitepolo...
I drove up and down the road this moring to record the inlet temps...
Standard intercooler is bad even at just 1.0 bar... in a single gear through the rev range to the red line it easily hit 70 deg C.... god only knows what it must reach with plenty of spirited driving.
took a mile or two to cool back down during cruising to mid 30s
and then in the afternoon.... I broke my f*****g ankle... just terrific
so cannot drive the polo now for 4 - 6 weeks

How much BHP do u reckon u could having a FMIC fitted??
Plus what bout engine temp as ur covering most of ur radiator? Or is that not an issue in this country??

just the front mount will add only minimal power, but allows cooler denser airflow so makes inlet temps lower and so increases combustion in the cylinders
however, having the front mount on, the 20vt can run up to and beyond stage 3+ on apr software, which on awesome gti's a4 avant is touching 400 bhp
as for engine temps mate, the intercoolers from forge are designed with cooling in mind so things like pressure difference and cooling ability is calculated in the design of a suitable fmic, as apr had done with their kit for the polo turbo, so not really an issue there

Jeff, I've already gathered that as they informed me that they're using someone local to them & it doesn't bother me so long as I get a working intercooler soon. From what I can work out is a white 3rd car, anyone on here?
That price is indeed with vat.
