If the dealer has mentioned the wishbones I think that he is referring to the TCA (front lower wishbones) rear voided bushes that are located in the aluminium consoles - take a look on briskoda for further info. If they are u/s - ie split, then you should really get a VAG indep specialist to replace them with Seat Ibiza Cupra solid bushes (buy from Seat garage obviously). If your fixer needs to drop the crossmember then a four-wheel-alignment will be required.

Got the car back from VW....no squeaks comming from the wishbones....
But when i reach home, hear this strange noise inside the car.....like something was rattling.....got out of the car....went to the front and could hear a rattling noise comming from my front grill....open my bonnet and c that the air intake unit is rattle like mad.....if i hold it the noise goes away.....
it looks like the fella in VW's opened the engine cover

because the engine cover seems to be vibrating.....
Ne ideas as to y all of sudden this noise starts.....
Some pictures
1. Rattling noise comming from here....

my rear wishbone bushes were done at around 45k, they're just a weak point with polo's. But OMG how much nicer does it feel with new bushes!

First the slight oil leak on the rear dampers, I'm sure there are lots of cars that will show a slight oil leak if the damper is fully extended - in a perfect world them should not leak at all - but as time goes on they will leak a bit.
Second the inlet flexi pipe - I am surprised that the 1.2 gets this sort of "ram air" ducting - I thought that it was only the 100ps 1.4 16v that got that pipe fitted. Just check that the air cleaner is pushed down fully on its mounting points.

We had the same vibration from that small front inlet box when ours came back from the Dealer after having the coils relaced ( FOC )
I took the box apart and put some black electricians tape over those tapered interference 'clips' , that sorted it, no trouble since , no need to disturb it usually as the air tube 1/4 turns out.
if the air box isn't quite snug aroun the oil filler that might be a prob.

Well the noise from the box is gone now.....
But another strange noise has started.....
Its when i rev the engine.....theirs a strange sucking noise comming from the throttle body.....next to the air filter.......
Dunno if is a normal noise or else.....
Have you noticed this noise in your car...since mines a 1.2 too..?
