cheers for the advice lads!
what price should i be paying for a new one then?............i.e how much off list price an i get away with?
as with Fords different dealers do different prices, and its worth travelling quite far to different dealers as they offer massive discounts.......
just wondering if its the same with VW?

i found that the gti's generally tend to be cheaper further down south, in the north there is hardly any discount at all, they even sell 1 yr old ones with 2 owners(inc vw themselves) at like 13500

Worth trying these 2 companys for a quote:
http://www.drivethedeal.com/default.asp?vans=false
http://www.broadspeed.com/
My missus bought her new Skoda Fabia from Broadspeed and was hassle free from start to finish, she was well pleased with the deal they got her.
Nearly £1500 of list price.

Welcome to the forum. I was in a similar predicament, please read my thread below as that might be of some help.

Second recommendations for both drivethedeal & broadspeed, have used both several times & have nothing but praise for them.
In response to your question for opinions. I think that the look works well, best with a black car and its differenent. Makes the car look moody. But doing so will look good only if you have some lower the came some.
