How's about these? On ebay at the mo, 16" BBS RXII's. Same as the GTI only 16's not 15's, find 'em on a lot of golfs. These ones have been refurbed already too!
Have a look:
BBS RXII
Apart from those ones are the five stud version (5x100) so wouldn't fit a 6N2 Polo without adaptors.
4 stud versions of the 16" RXII were fitted to Golf Cabriolets, and are fairly hard to come by. Although I do have a set currently sat in my garage doing nothing.
As i said man, i'd have them straight off you if i had the car already, but its not mine yet, and won't be for another 5 months at least.
Such a shame, i'd love to have them, they're smart wheels.

You don't happen to have any pictures of that do ya?
It's not so much i want it slammed, as someone else put it on here, "i want to get rid of the grand canyon between the wheels and the arches"

Yeah, pics help loads mate.
How much have you dropped it? You're on coilovers i take it?
Just thought of another question, even if i was to drop it on just springs, instead of coilovers, i'd have to have the camber and tracking etc done again wouldn't i?
And the bra suits your car man, i think it looks sweet.
Mine's silver, would stick out like a sore thumb. But blends in lovely with yours.
Are you plates legal btw?

yeah im on coilys and its been droped about 110 on the front & 100 at the rear...
i dont think you would have to change anything with springs but im not entirely sure about that one mate! but i would recomend coilovers anyway.
cheers for the bra comment

...and yeah my plates are illegal but police never notice
...but they notice these ones lol

How much did your coilovers cost ya then?
I take it they firm up the ride alot?
How much should i be looking to spend on coilovers all round?
I'd want a pair, and my mums bf is a mechanic, but i DOUBT they'd let me have them, would have to fit them on the sly.
That black plate is lovely, bit obvious though eh?!
It does work perfectly with the car though.
Sorry for all the questions, and thanks again for all the help...

They cost £250 for all four...sounds alot but its totally worth it as you can adjust the ride height etc...it makes it abit firm yeah.
Look to spend up to £300 i would say. someone off the forum who lives near you would help you fit them im sure..
ye the plate goes well with a black car but its too easy for police, & dont worry about the questions mate thats what the forums for

ahah yeah, too easy for police i spose.
£250 isn't that bad at all, was expecting alot more than that.
Once i've passed my test and settled down with money i think i'll get some.
Do the easy mods first, then that'll probably be one of the last...

As Rub-a-Dub said, keep asking the questions, thats how you learn & what forums are for. Use the search facility too.
Have a look at this post,
How to fit Coilovers. Will give you an insight into whats involved.
Visit
Venom Motorsports Website, & take a look at the different suspension types, makes & the prices.
Look on Ebay too, you'll find a set of coilies by Hotuning for less than £200 that are supposed to be ok, though allegedly a bit harsh.
Just remember, you get what you pay for. Pay £150-250 for coilies & you are at the bottom end of the market, £300 & upwards you will start to find sets that have adjustable dampers to give a better ride.
Also don't forget you've got to tell your insurance company of these mods, as it'll invalidate it in event of any accident etc.
Hope that helps you

Yeah, been reading about telling the insurance.
How much extra, generally, does it add to the premium?
