See you've changed your signature to reflect the new 'cruise' height!

PS. Your motor seems blue in this photo, whereas the last seemed more grey!? :?
Thanks man. Looks loads better on coilovers. Very happy with it. Had a laugh fitting them too. I know what you mean about the colour. Think its how the ligh is hitting it. It's Storm Gray.

To add, i've been offerd a badboy bonnet in storm gray, yay or nay? Lol
Bad Boy Bonnets are very 'marmite', you either love 'em or hate 'em. They seem to suit an aggressive body styling & would possibly spoil the lines you've got.

Use the money to fund other subtle mods. If it's a good price, buy it, try it, like it/hate it & trade it on!

Try & find yourself some nice chairs, then you can roll in style AND comfort!

I don't like marmite :P I like the look of it on his storm gray 6n. I know what you mean though. I've been keeping an eye out for new seats too. I'm pretty skint this week, buying the coilovers and bills to pay.

If you know the guy well, why don't you ask if you can have a trial fit? As you know it's only 4 bolts & a couple of minutes! You may see the result & go 'no way'!

Interior is where i'll look to next, try & find either a GTI Recaro or Cupra Interior. The Cupra Half Leather is Superb. 8) Just price!!

Gotta get my lower passenger doors painted properly to allow me to remove the rub strips too, poor job by previos owner, doesn't have the same sheen to it. Being picky, but heh, gotta get it right!

Cheers man. It rubs a fair bit, lol well alot. mainly on the rear. Think i'll end up cutting some of the plastic arch linings out. Looks so much better now on coilovers. Oh and the short tall road humps.. the nasty ones? well it hates them. Go a little to fast and you hear the exhaust ding! I about cried. So the polo is now low and slow. snail power!!!

I had a set of cupra half lethers, well i say had, i never picked them up. funds where a little to low. lower then i though. £100 for the lot including door cards.

The bonnet 4 10mm bolts, ha. Yeah would be an idea. I'd have to change my grill too as it wqould catch the badge.

I still need to paint my rear badge and the front could do with a re-paint.

Your springs and shocks are boxed up ready. Thats if you still want them.

I say boxed up read i just need to give them a clean lol. :D

Yep, still up for them springs, get the motor nicely lower, which is what iy needs!

Take the springs/shox to work with you & coat them in TFR, before jetting them off, that'll do it!

You had first refusal on half leathers for a ton! Bargain! Which seats were they, the multi-colour, red or grey centre panels? I want the grey, or red, would look great in the polo. Re-do the door cards to match & 8)

So are you gonna do a trial fitting with the bad-boy?

Hundred Quid for a set of half leathers with grey centre panel! I'd of mugged you for 'em! And I bet with your luck at the mo, I bet they were mint too!

Primered up 2 of my alloys this afternoon, & gave 'em a top coat as well. Letting them harden off overnight & flat them back a bit, give them another 2-3 coats & then laquer them tomorrow afternoon. Will get some photo's on my alloy thread of them as soon as I can. Hopefully will look ok!! :?

Will have to pick up more paint stripper on the way home from work tomorrow so I can finish the other two.

You'd struggle to find another set at that price, at least for a while!

Very true, keeping an eye out though :D

You want me to preset your rear shocks to the lowest point? 60mm .. as they're adjustable on the rear.

Please, don't want the DTM wedge look!

Didn't ask, how easy is it to fit, 1hr a corner, or half that with air tools! Do I need to borrow my mates spring compressor?

I used Air tools as i did it at work. Bout15min a corner seeing how you wont have to set the rears just matter of putting your mountings on.

as for the spring compressers i never used them as i was on lowering springs anyway, i would use them because i dont know how much pressure is in those normal springs. 2 bolts and one top nut on both front sides and one bolt and one top nut on the rears, very simple set up. :)

I know suspension is easy enough, have done the 4x4 stuff loads of times, will get a mate of mine to bring his spring compressors over & should be quick enough. As mine has only been worked on by VW specialists, its been greased etc. in the right places at the service, so I shouldn't have any seized nuts! Will use copper slip on reassembly to ensure I don't have problems later!
