Guys I need your help,
I think I am going to go with a set of Porsche wheels (common but I love the styles) I was just about to buy a set along with £72 a pair FK adapters but I cant help thinking about how safe adapters are for a daily driver.
I dont really do many miles but I do go on the motorway quite a bit. Are they safe? Maybe I should stick to 4x100 wheels but I dont want to. Can somebody please help me out and some advise on some other types of 4x100 wheels I dont know about would be great!

I've got the FK adaptors on mine at the moment. I will admit at first I was a little unsettled, and my both my front adaptors did come loose and I had to jack it up in Tescos car park... twice!!
If your worried though, get them fitted at a garage that can fit them using the torque settings for piece of mind

Coming loose was my biggest worry, if that happened on the motorway it could be really dangerous. So I guess of they are torqued up correctly they will stay on?

Yeh, luckily I was only pulling in Tescos carpark. then a day later it happened in exactly the same place on the other front wheel! was weird.
But yeh if take them to a garage and getting them properly fitted you'll be fine. I should really do it for mine

Fitting adapters is the same as fitting a wheel!
AS long as the bolts holding on the adapters to the hub are as tight as you would put a wheel on, then there is no problem at all, All the stories about them coming off are from people who don't actually put them on tight enough in the first place!!
As for what adapters i've seen a few pics of the FK ones being utter pish, remember your paying for what you get, so if thats just for a set (2 x Adapters) which you require 2 off then, then £140-£150 is alright if not a bit cheap. Save up and get some Hubcentric ones - more expensive, Talking i think £200 - £250 for all four adapters. But worht it!

Sorry another quick question,
Do hub caps fit g60 steel wheels? I have seen some photos of people cable tying trims on. I would really like some 15" merc trims, would they fit?

With the correct adapters, Merc wheels would fit yes, (and providing they are realistic sizes).
If you wat to fit plastic hubs to your wheels, jsut buy steels, G60s are alot more expensive.

Sorry mate thats what I meant,
Im after 15" merc trims. I was just wondering of they fitted onto g60 steels.

Ohh I see. I don't think they will no. G60s weren't designed to house trims, so I'm pretty sure they don't carry the lip that's designed to enable the trims to clip in.

I got a free filter today (K&N cone type)
Can I rig it up like this...
I found this pic while searching the forums. As long as I use a small breather for the crankcase pipe I should be ok?
My worry is the air will not be cold enough... any other problems I should know about?
Also where do I get a 90 degres pipe for the carburetor
I have a 1.4 16v

Nah you should be alright with that. You could make a heat shield to be fancy though, For the 90% piping check eBay or kam racing.

I have rigged up how I want to run but again have some questions..
When I rev hard there is a sucking sound, thats just the filter right? I really dont think I have any air leaks in my seals.
Also when ignition is started there is a high pitched buzzing coming from here..
Is it normal?
Smoke is coming from my breather on the crankcase pipe I think I read that thats normal, am I right?
I will be running 2 of these to help keep cool..
