I think the sig looks like pistachio green, but the photo showing the tax disc looks like ummm... something else!
Yea, sorry about the dodgy pics, the colour it is in my signature is the actual colour (it is pistache green), but my phone makes it come out a funny colour. Kinda annoying, but i cant do anything about it.
Good effort with the smoothing and chucking that piece of wood in makes your life a whole lot easier. Will the weight of the piece of wood not make it crack sooner though
The wood was not a heavy peice of wood, plus it was stcu in the recess and fibrglassed over, befor fillering over that, so i hope it doesnt crack too soon!!

Bit of progress on my polo.
I bought a badgless grille at vw players, but when i got it home to fit it, i realised they'd sold me a mk5 polo one, as all of the fittings were in totally the wrong places. Anyway, i emailed tham and they said send it back and they'll send me the correct one. i finnally arrived on thursday, so i wasted no time fitting it:
Image
Image
Image
I also got a new headunit and new Fusion 12" sub from the 'bay, Headunit was a bargain £50 and the sub was even more of a bargain at £20!!
Image
Image
i also prepped and primed my bumpers, although front bumper isnt done yet, needs more work!
Image
and finnally, ive been poloshing up the rocker cover(is that what it is??) , not done yet but already looking much better;

Thats it for now, probs wont be any more for a while as im gonna be concentrating on actually getting on the road, so will be spending my money on that!!

Right, i've not updated in a while, because i haven't really done much!!Ive got my test on the 24th so i'm gonna start to crack on once im on the road. Anyway, this is what i've done since my last update, hope you like and any feedback is appreciated.
Image
Firstly, i've primed the bumpers and the bit where the badge recess used to be, and i've put the back bumper on. It's not completely secure though as there are only the four holes at the top of the bumper to secure it to the car, so i need to add some more!!

Me and my mate dicided to fit the -40 springs i had lying around from my brothers car. Thought it would be a quick and easy job, turned out it wasnt as the nutd on top were seized!!had to cut the shocks off, but had spares so all is good!anyway the whole job ended up taking pretty much all day! This is the car before.
Image
During
Image
And, er, after...
Image
Okay so i know its not the most noticeable drop, its a drop all the same!!it looks lower at the front than the back, but i obviously will be getting coilies eventually!

I also did some little things wheni got bored, like polishing up the rocker cover bolts!!
Image
Before and after
Image
What was a bit annoying was when my little borther said he'd put the bolts back on when i was tidying up, then proceded to snap one of the bolts in the hole by doing it up too tight!!

Anyway, not much of an update, but i've ben skint from lessos and stuff so when i pass (hopefully next tuesday) and im on the road, il get som paint, finish the bumpers and crack on with the rest of my plans.
Oh and by the way, the m3 mirrors have ben sold!No need to worry about them anymore!

what you are doing to yours is quality and is coming on well,

but i would suggest changing the indicators on the front side panels to clear ones, and they are fairly cheap £4-£7. but worth it

Well i failed my test the other week but decided to crack on with my car anyway. Firstly we put some extra fixings on the rear bumper as it only had the 4 at the top of the bumper which isnt really enough, however the main job that was done was the sparaying of the bumpers, tailgate and drivers side, as well as doing the interior bits and sorting any bumps or dents in the car. I also fixed the cock up i made of the parcel shelf and put my 6x9's in (not wired though) and i cleaned the car. I say i did these things, but it was mostly my dad.Heres some pics.
Image
Some nice dents, including a gaint scratch right across the pack driverside panel.
Image
Image
The extra fixings were fiberglassed on to the rear bumper
Image
The car was then prepped for painting

And the final product (well as far as the spraying bit goes for the moment) in all of its mono-colour glory!

After being washed

And the 6x9's

I've also finished de-wipering the back but i havent got a picture of that yet, plus this is a pretty large update so im not bothered really. Let me know what you think.

Oh and also, i've just bought a new exhaust system, ill get pics soon...

Ages since my last update so get ready for a big one! First things first i had the rear bumper sprayed and put on. Also aquired some new German Plates whist at the French Car Show! Also applied my Dubway sticker!!
Image

Also sprayed my washer jets Gloss Black to go with the theme im starting to run.
Image

Next was a sticker for the side window as it was looking abit plain.
Image

Next big job was to get my sound system wired in at long last. This was done with the help of a friend. I had a switch wired up to my dash to turn off the amp so it dosent drain my battery by being left on.
Image
Image

Next job was the frot bumper that ive had for ages. I fitted this with a mate, took about an hour in total, and im propper pleased with the results!
Image
Image

After that i thought it needed livening up a lil bit so i bought some stippy tape from ebay...Nothing could escape!
Image
Image
Image
Image

I also did the rear view mirror but forgot to take a picture! So heres how its looking now:
Image

And here is the photoshop of how it will look soon (hopefully):
Image

Next things to do are to spray the wheels and roof Gloss Black as i already have the paint. This shold be done next week if the weather is good. Also need to grt black side repeaters. Any comments welcome.

it was lloking good until the tape mate, your making it look really takky and the sticker in the windscreen is giving the wrong message, keep it clean and you will be ok, you may as well put m3 mirros on it cos this thing is going to be really chavvy if you do it like the virtual, please dont smoke the indicators and not the headlights aswell and the bad boy bonnet look is starting to get old. other than that mate good job its a good start just dont ruin it now

p.s. i hope you know the pressed plates are illegal
