15s are 45s

16s are 40s

I don't know why there's so much discussion on this. You should use 16/195/40s on a standard sized wheel..... end of!!!

The answer is yes. Mine burned through arch liners!
its the rear archliners at fault there a ridiculous shape! do what i did take the liner out heat it up with a heat gun from argos for peasnuts! and then flaten it between two pieces of wood problem solved mine never rubbed down 35mm with 5 lads in on 195 45 16's and i never had rubbing issues down 60mm with 5 in on 195 40 16's

get the back wheels of and you will se what i mean

Indeed. 45 profile tyres cause this though :P They to curve round which is odd i must agree

no you know how the rear arch liner is like s shaped and kinks in into the arch my tyre burnt through it so just took it out heated it up and made it flat so the arch was the same size all the way back!

Im on 195/45/16 on my bbs with no rubbing and down on coilovers, will be changing to 195/40 soon though to go that bit lower :).
