Yeah each light has its own. Because i've got an 8v i've got a bit more room. I mounted mine infront of the radiator/fan.

well must admit im very impressed..... recieved them this morning, talking about quick delivery and the packaging is very nice.... bigger box then i thought itd be....
looks like a serious bit of kit when i opened it.....
kinda scared..... looks to good to remove from the box now..... they look scarily sweet.
be getting them fitted saturday by my godfather unless i have a go at doing them myself befor hand.
and for those few who dont have the kit thought id take some pics of the box and kit............
guessing the ballasts dont need a seperate wire going to the battery? they run of the other wires from the bulbs? how about fitting them to the car? any drilling in the case?
also in the box one pug from each bulb is plugged together... is this suppose to be like this or are they suppose to be unplugged? as they were just put together for packaging?

Mate, they are an absolute breeze to fit. Just read the instructions, and you'll find out where all the wiring goes. They#re just plug and play, anyone can fit them.
All you need is a 25mm hole drill (£6 from B&Q/Screwfix)
Some cable ties to secure the ballasts (just find somewhere where they won't get wet or hot)
And a screwdriver to remove the headlight casing

As I said, read the instructions and it will all become incredibly clear. The wire is probably suppose to be there, I would have to check the instructions to find out, as I can't remember now.
The headlight casing, as in the black plastic that is connected to the back of the light. I'm not sure what they are like with angel eyes though. But basically you drill a hole in the back to feed the wires through. this has to be 25mm for the grommet to work properly and ensure the whole unit is sealed, it says it all in the book.
I tied mine to the fuel pump and under my OEM ballast. With non GTis though there is quite alot of space. Source either underneath the headlights or underneath the plastic lip of the slam panel.

the angel eyes use the original headlight casing.
i think the wires are just plugged together for packaging cause i notcied when i got them the tape that normally seals them was already broke so assuming someone must of open them for someting.
if u look at the bottom pic i posted u can see the 2 plugs that are connected....

Yeh. bascially it's plug all the wires into each other as the instructions show, find a good place for the ballasts, drill the hole for the grommet, fit the bulbs, and change the fuses.
Half hour max!

Yeh that's them powering up, completely normal. you have to change the fuses on the board to conpensate for the HIDs. Jut check the card and change the two 10As for 15s.
