yeah thats the same thing lol, mines supposed to be a gti recon box, it worked for about 2days, then it packed in. could even be the gear in the box that the speedo gear runs from lol.
fingers crossed it isn't!!!!!

Its unlikely.
Have to checked to make sure the electrical plug is in correctly?

yeah, the whole plug, connector, and shaft into the gearbox were cleaned up on sunday but still no hope!! i'm going to try a mates plug from his gti and see what happens......

Thanks for the good info on here. I solved the speedo and fuel gauge problem by replacing the speed sensor. Took only 15 mins
