I think i've got myself confused with haynes........
Flip if it is low then I am sure the PAS warning light should be up on the dash????

theres allways one.
like i said i'm not clued up on it but is there a PAS light that MEANS the fluid is low? or is it to say the PAS is knackard? lol

I don't think theres a light as mine was way below min and no light was telling me anything, first I knew was difficult to do corners.
If yours is registering on the stick and is at min it shouldn't cause you a problem to be honest, although you could top it up a little. But at min it should still be doing everything normally.

The PAS light is telling you that there is a "steering system" problem - so a fault code will have been logged in the PAS control module which is part of the pump/reservoir assembly. I'd agree with what has been said that you could run below minimum fluid level without problems - but the source of the fluid loss would need to be checked out eventually (open up the rack end bellows - there should not be fluid in there - if so rack is leaking).

I'm hoping that the fluid was lost when I had to drop the sub frame and support the rack with some string when changing the bushes. Hopefully now its all back together its not losing anymore....Is this likely Rummo. I'll see if I can have a look at the rack end bellow when I get chance are they secured with circlips or anything and are they easily accessible??? ALso is there anywhere else it could be leaking, hoping I didn't rupture anything, thought I'd sorted all my problems out with this motor.
