my 1.2 match
Re: my 1.2 match
but wont i need replacement rear shocks? or 1s that can cope with the lowering?
Re: my 1.2 match
As long as your only going 30-35mm lower they will be fine. Anymore and you will need new shocks to matchspeedy wrote:but wont i need replacement rear shocks? or 1s that can cope with the lowering?
Re: my 1.2 match
as chewy has stated there no need to change the shockers unless going lower by 30mm + . looking forward to seeing it lowered.
I don't know why vw don't just put all their cars out with the same suspension and brakes set up ie the gti spec, after all in the interest of safety this would be a winner and no doubt more cost effective for them. Lets face it the standard setup has alot to be desired it is terrible body roll etc basic upgrade to GTI spec was what I did asap for all the running gear and saved some pounds on the insurance due to the safety aspect.
pics soon I promise once I have got the car cleaned up a bit.

Nice looking Polo,. Looking real nice. Dont think i even looked at that colour when i got mine.
Quite like the angel eyes too. Give your car a meaner front end.
Richtat,
What did you do then to save your self some pounds?
I asked my insurance about adding better brakes and they said they wouldnt insure me, i kind of argued about it being safer, quicker stopping etc but no is no.
So please list what you have done to your car which they liked, and what insurance company oyur with too.

Gotta agree with the stock setup though. I drive quite enthusiastically and my car's got the -15mm sport setup fitted from the factory and I still find it rolls quite a bit and understeers more than I'd like. I dread to think what the normal setup handles like! Not really a fan of the steering either - great for parking, but feels to artificial if you get what I mean...wish it felt more "connected" to the road.

Re: my 1.2 match
That's the next thing on my list. Surly tho those blue side lights are not legal
Re: my 1.2 match
they only in for show tho
Re: my 1.2 match
i like those tinted lites ! what happend to the angels ? my brothers 9n3 has the angels u can put HIDs in them but be careful on the size the size is a H1 in them where as the standard is H7 but its not a normal H1 its a bit thinner. he bought h7 and ended up custom cutting the plastic bulb holder to make them fit. so watch out for that nice car tho
Re: my 1.2 match
Really like the tints! Are they the lamin-x "gunsmoke"?
