i would say 14s are a bit small, or thats just me

yeah, but as soon as you go over 14's you have to start lowering the car to get it looking right

u need 195/40/16 if ur getting 16s. 195/45/16 will rub at the top of the inner arch

im running 16's with 195,45,16 at -75mm lowers with no scrubbing!!
only at full lock

mk5 have slightly rolled arches compared to the mk4? cus the late mk4s had that
