Finally got round to fitting the middle grille in. Decided to do it has I had some free time on my hands as I was not out in my beauty because of a fu**ing pothole giving my tyre a bulge!
Anyways:
Before:
And After:
On a rainy day to compliment the snapping and breaking off my old middle grille

Oh well! Was worth it!!

http://www.novablue.co.uk/shop/shop.php ... ull&id=194

I emailed them to ask if they had 12000k to match my dipped beams and they sent me a disclaimer saying that they will be illegal blah blah blah and was charged a bit more extra and I chose the 50 watt ballasts as well.
All in all was worth it! Looks amazing, but doesn't really help well in the fog! Just for show use really!

Looks well done mate
My next mod will probably be the "sportline grille" set (as in chrome instead of red). Yours looks class now.
I gave mine a wax yesterday with the collinite.
Hasn't rained here in about a week. . .second I finished (did it from 9am-1pm) it started raining.
Pure raging I was!

My next mod is Carbon Fibre around the grille and reg plate surroundings. Then I will start posting pics of my car when it's cleaned and go for photo shoots

They look really good mate.
I want to get some (but the ones for the gti) but can't justify spending that much on some grilles

Not at the minute anyway lol.

Makes quite a bit difference really. I couldn't stand the standard grilles when I had the GTi grille. Just didn't look right. So I finally got them and now I am so happy with the front

May I ask who you got the bottom grille out?
As my fog lights won't be wired up when I'm selling / trading the car in I'll probably need to put on all the original pieces back.
Did you find an easy way to get them all out or did you break the bottom grill?
Cheers.

Your getting rid of your car? :O WHY!!
And I had to break it, I don't think it's near impossible to get it out without damaging it the slightest, as there are clips all around that needs to be undone all together, or at the same time with some of the clips, and the plastic grille is not flexible enough.

loll I'm not selling it! I'm just saying when it comes to selling I can't say...."complete with fake fog lights!"
I probably won't bother with the grille stuff then

Shame as I wanted it to look like the Japanese Polo Sporty.

I'd buy the kit off VAGlink.com and get an auto electrician to wire it in. Yeah it might cost a bit, but overall when you do come to sell it, it's an extra and may boost the value of your car? Who knows? Most car's have fogs these days and people might want them. Also if you was clever, you could find out how to install a static cornering function as well! That would be cool!
