rpm at idel is just under 1000

and getting a new fuel filter tomorrow, and ill try clean the throttle bodys today, anyone got pics of cleaning them not sure what to clean and what to use etc !

spark plugs may also be on their way out, might change them as well as they are not expensive

cleaning the throttle body : unplug the cable and all pipes ( make sure to mark them to remember where they should go) undo the 4 nuts holding it and pull it out ( make sure not to drop anything in the intake). use a carburettor/throttle body cleaner spray and spray it with it and wipe it with a clean lint free cloth. make sure you do not use any thing else as the butterfly is covered in a special coating so not to hold dirt on it an you could remove it. let it dry and do everything in reverse order. It is advisable you do a TBA using vagcom afterwards.

some just spray it on the throttle body in place but I don not suggest that so not to let the dirt and grime go down the intake, apart that if you remove the throttle body you can clean it better
