GTI looks great, nice to have an individual look plus you have a nice spec too.
Probably the Worlds greatest Polo resource

I would have gone for Carbon Grey if this had been an option like on the Golf GTI. Not seen a GTI in Silver or Blue as yet but don't expect I will as I have not seen another 6r GTI on the road since I have had mine.Alex_White_Gti wrote:Cheers mate!Carol wrote:Niiiice! i qould love a gti in nimbus grey..........why on earth they never did that boggles the mind. Good choice though.
Alex.
Yes this is a definite GTI only option at present. It came as a surprise to me when mine came with both sets on buttons as all the literature just shows buttons on the left only. GTI also gets Highline MFD rather than Midline as in all other models again another surprise, however it's not the same as the European models as it does not have large speed display as a function and it does not have as many menu options eg convenience settings as it does on my Golf GTI. Not an issue just pointing out the differences.Tyler Owen wrote:Apparently this is a GTi thing, I've just been in and bought mine and was told that the MFSW was just on the left hand side, by the salesman, like all the other Polo's but after going out to the car there were controls on both sides. Then there was an "ahhhhhh" moment when he then recalled that being introduced on the GTI's only .
I agree never used the CD, what are your issues with the media connection only used the ipod not the USB. I use my 80GB ipod Classic and find the 510 is great for navigating and making the most of the ipod. Not used the SD slot either as I have all my music on the ipod.Grey_Polo wrote:The interior shot of the 510 6-CD changer reminds me what a naff idea CDs are these days. It's a real kefuffle to get disc in and out - and then it only tells you useless stuff like "Track 3".
The media connection in the glove box is another tale. A sub-tenner 4Gb USB stick will hold about 40 CDs and name each album and track...
Yes I think the black looks great on both red and white cars so your White GTI would look awesome with dark wheels.big_amir wrote:Lovin' those wheels Alex. Really makes the car stand out. If you don't mind i'd love to have a look at them in the flesh sometime.
No issues. The USB storage and iPod connections work great. I have a different cable to connect either in the glove box. There is also a media socket by the cigarette lighter. This does not supply power to the iPod as the glove box socket does and there is no comprehensive display of files and tacks as with the glove box connector and of course anything connected to it can be seen from outside - in fact I wonder what the media socket is for.Edi30 wrote:I agree never used the CD, what are your issues with the media connection only used the ipod not the USB.
