I've had Michelins on my previous car and can't fault them at all. Excellent in both dry and wet conditions, I even thought they were pretty decent in heavy snow as well. That said, most people seem to agree that they are pretty awful in snow so I'm either Sebastian Loeb or seriously lucky, probably the latter lol.

The tyres on my GTi at the moment are a bit of a mixed bunch, Nexens on the front and some other weird brands on the rear. Not inspiring in the wet at all, had a couple of hairy moments emergency braking in the wet. Planning on replacing them as soon as I can justify with Michelins or Continental SportContacts, heard good things about them so look like they might be worth a try. Anyone got any experience with them?

Toyo R1R or so, verry good tyre, but hard to find these days

getting this threat out of the dust...

i'm going to order new tyres from the U.K.
my choise has fallen on: Yokohama Advan Neova AD08 in size 205/45/16
you might even call this tyre a semi slick and i have read nothing but good reports on this tyre.
so now it's up to me to test those

i'll keep you guys posted about what i think of them

ps: if anyone else want to post a tyre revieuw of their tyres, i'll be happy to read it with lots of intrest

You can't go wrong with the yokos mate incredible tyres. Also barrums or Goodyears

My michelins are wearing on the inside which may be the trackin im looking to get uniroyal rainsport 2's heard nothing but good reports and my mum has just had them on her bmw! Transformed the car!... Nice looking tyre too!

at the moment the michelins pilot are the best mate so if u dont care about the price get them,otherwise there are very good tires at very good prices like nankang, federal,toyo,khumo i deal in tyres and in rims.
