I am doing the very same with a red polo that I picked up last week lol

Can I ask where you got the fogs from and how much ? Pm me if you like

Looking good so far

Hey, There are four types of grilles, standard(like on my first pic) standard with no A/C (same as standard but no air intakes) SEL grille(one I have now) and the GTI grille.

The grill cost me around £75 pounds (I think) I got it from my local vw dealer, just go up to the parts section and ask, the part number should start with 6R :D

now for the fogs there are two types, one is £50 for each side! the other one (which I have) are about £20 a side. There is no difference in the looks of these lights unless you look closely you will see the £50 light has two bulbs (one for fog-one for DRL) and the £20 just have one bulb(DRL) I haven't wired mine up as I am not that bothered about fogs or DRL I just wanted the looks 8) you will need new plastic surroundings which are £12 each, Hope this helps mate

I bought a HID xenon kit and fitted it myself, it's really simple 6 bolts on top of your headlight then pull the headlight forward it will come off it's lugs, the kit I ordered it was a H4 CAMBUS PRO 6000k kit, in that you get two bulbs andtwo balasts converters. it's important you order cambus pro or the lights will flicker and your bulb warning light will appear. I'm not 100% sure if they are legal, but tbh ive never looked into it, I've had mine 6 months and had no problems with them.
am looking to do this, but did ya change the side lights aswell, and what do u day time running lights look like after this mod

also have you changed you fogs as i like to have my fogs on as it lok pretty sexy haah
Yes I changed the side lights to 501LED's just slot in, make sure the bulbs have a built in resister or your bulb light will come on and they will flicker .

I can't help you with that one mate sorry, I haven't done anything with my fogs, but your best bet is finding out what bulb they are and going on HIDS4U.co.uk and finding a LED bulb the same, hope that helps.

@Craig - anytime pal

Right i had this issue

The bulb in our cars is a special H4 bulb that does normal and high beam. It is also a low evergy bulb due to the day time running thing

So in a word it's the wrong kit bud

I ended up selling my kit on and sticking with oem lights

It's coz the Germans have to make everything so bloody confusing bud haha. A really dunno about the match mate. All ya need to do is take the light unit out (pile of pisss). And check the bulb have a look round the bulb and it should tell ya.

Don't go off what ppl tell ya on here. This is just to give ya ideas. Take time to look ya self. A went off a pearson on here saying they fogs are hb4. So I order hb4 and it turns out my fogs are h8. Just look ya self mate. That's the best way
