Mine will be for sale by the end of the year. I expect you'll want one sooner than that. I've got full leather, Sunroof, afew minor upgades, Polybushes, braided brake lines, TT pedals. Also just had a Gearbox rebuild with a new clutch. Wheels are in perfect condition I had them powder coated a coule of years ago.

Excuse me but iv all ways believed that the 5 door reds are the fastest and best. Thought that was common knowledge to all VW enthusiasts

I love mine!
That said, running it has been quite costly to previous owners what with the wheels going funny, the gearbox, and clutch failing. The gearbox is now caked in oil again, so either a leaky seal, or something more sinister (20k old box, 80k car).
I've never had to repair anything on it I didn't break in the first place, and all consumables are quite cheap IMO. Full MPG breakdown here: 36mpg over 12k miles.

While the RX-8 I've got as well now is a much better car in nearly every way, (comfier, MUCH quieter, faster, better handling, revs higher) I still reckon the Polo is more fun to drive - hence why I've kept it and plan to turn it into a track day car over the next year or so via the help of the Motorsport dept. at uni (mostly for engine work).
Personally, I reckon that alone says more about the car than any financial numbers etc.
