Thanks for that mate. Had a look on their website, they're automated quote system quoted me almost £100 a wheel  £384 inv VAT. That's the reason why im inclined to go along the new alloy route and flog my Boavistas.. :)

Bought them off Blaade when he put his GTI back to stock, but never fitted them as I went straight to Bilstein B16 PSS coilovers.
I would have had them straight away mate, but I rang local garages to get a price to fit a set of springs and they all wanted £100+. I can get H&R 25/40's from awesome-gti in Manchester and they're £180 all in 8)

Smart Alloys in Manchester, anyone had an experience of them? Found them on a google search and they seem reliable. £180 for a strip, refurb in Gloss Black, refit tyres and re-balance. They do them in a day also and the link to there facebook page has a lot of pictures showing their refurbs and I'm quite impressed...

The H&R's that fit on the rear are -40mm. Not sure about the VWR's but this is how Blaade's car sat with VWR springs up front and H&R's on the rear. 8)

As they say, a picture paints a thousand words!

Yeah it looks perfect that mate. One of the new chaps on here who's just got a new 1.2 TSi has ordered some OEM VW Springs from Germany (30/35) which should arrive within the next few days. I'm holding my breath until I see the results of that :D

BTW mate, is your OEM exhaust system up for grabs? I know someone trying to get their sticky little mitts on one :D

No, it isn't as I now keep the OEM parts for reverting back if needed in future. 8)
